National Assistant Principals Week, April 1–5, 2024, is a celebration of the unsung heroes in our education system. These dedicated folks work tirelessly to bolster teachers, motivate students, support their principal, create a positive learning community, and face the many unpredictable challenges that land on their desks.

De Queen Middle School's 7th Grade Advanced Science classes had the opportunity to attend the 10th Annual Arkansas Science Festival in Little Rock on Thursday, April 28th. The students could view and participate in many of the hands-on projects being presented at the festival.
April 1-5 is National Assistant Principals Week. DMS would like to recognize our Assistant Principal, Jonathan Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey goes above and beyond for our students and staff.

We want to congratulate Titus Tokjen and Rebeca Ramirez for reaching ONE MILLION words! A special congratulation goes to Tucker Dorse. Tucker has read over THREE MILLION words so far this school year!

DMS Upcoming Events
Mrs. Jill Smith’s reading classes had the opportunity to attend a live production of the play Holes on Friday, February 23. Mrs. Smith’s reading classes read the book and watched the movie during the fall semester. Twenty-three students, Mrs. Smith, Miss Rojas, Ms. Villa and Mrs. Strasner attended the play. Students enjoyed creative snacks provided by the theater that incorporated the theme of the play. A huge shout out to Silvermoon Children’s Theater for an awesome performance.
