Josh Denhart presents chemistry experiments for

Retired science teacher, Josh Denhart, presents chemistry experiments to top off a “Day of Science” at DES!

De Queen Elementary School would like to thank the following businesses for donations toward materials and food used during a “Day of Science” for our students and teachers: First Assembly of God, Inc., Chandler Funeral Home, Gentry Chevrolet, Inc., Wilkerson Funeral Home, Bankcorp South, Tyson Foods, De Queen Auto Group, Inc..  We would also like to thank other volunteers from De Queen High School and other local churches and in our community. The students and teachers enjoyed a great and fun filled day of science experiments.  They made catapults, built bridges, rockets, slime, and “science in a bag”.  The day ended with each grade level watching a program presented by Josh Denhart, a retired chemistry teacher who travels across the country bringing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) into the lives of children.  THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY everyone!
